How can I make a binding enrolment? / How can I register?

You can register before the start of our courses

  • Select your desired course. After clicking on the three buttons AGB, data protection declaration and binding registration, click on ‘continue’. After checking your registration details, click on ‘Register now for a fee’.   

When registering, please remember that you should do so early, as we and our instructors need a lead time to prepare the course offerings.

For normal courses, we check about 3-4 days before the start to see if there are enough registrations. If this is the case, the course will take place. If there are not enough registrations, we will contact you and cancel the course.

Will I receive a confirmation of enrolment?

You will only receive a confirmation of registration if you have registered online. In this case, you will receive a confirmation by e-mail directly after you have made a binding registration.

Will I receive a message that the course is taking place?

If you have provided us with your e-mail address, you will automatically receive a message 3 days before the course starts to let you know that the course is taking place. If we have no e-mail contact from you, you will only receive a message from us if the course does not take place. We will inform you of cancellations approx. 3 days before the start of courses and 4 weeks before the start of educational holidays. If you do not receive a cancellation, please come to the bindingly booked course at the specified date and course location.

When do I have to pay the course fee?

You are obliged to pay when you register for the course. The course fee is due before the start of the course. You can pay by EC-Cash at the office or transfer the course fee. Please send a bank transfer stating your name and the course number to Stadtkasse Heide, Sparkasse Westholstein, IBAN DE 442225 0020 0060 0003 87.

If the course is cancelled, will I get a refund?

Yes, please let us know your bank details if the course is cancelled so that we can refund the fee to your account.

Can I cancel my registration?

You have the right to cancel the contract without any obligation to pay and without giving reasons.

Cancellations must always be made in writing and are possible:

• For regular courses up to 5 days before the start date
• For week-long, weekend, compact seminars and company courses up to 5 days before the start date
• For educational holidays 4 weeks before the start

Verbal and other cancellations to the course management are excluded. Non-attendance does not constitute a cancellation and does not release you from the obligation to pay.

Are there discounts?

We offer discounts (currently 40%) for pupils, students / trainees, participants in a federal voluntary service / social year, holders of youth leader cards and the unemployed. The discounts do not apply to vocational training measures, examinations, study trips, excursions, cookery courses and IT courses.

If you would like to take advantage of a discount, please present a corresponding certificate at the vhs office when registering. If this certificate is not available at the time of enrolment or is not submitted during the semester (up to 4 weeks after the start of the course), we will not be able to grant you a discount.

Additional fees for learning materials, material or food costs etc. cannot be reduced.

Courses for children are already discounted and a further reduction is not possible.

Number of participants

In general, our courses only take place if the minimum number of participants of usually 5 people is reached. If fewer participants are registered, the vhs will decide whether to cancel, combine or continue the course. Learning in small groups is also possible by arrangement for an increased fee (a discount is then excluded). If the number of participants drops during the course, the vhs can cancel the course or combine it with other courses.

Will I receive a certificate of attendance?

On request, you can receive a certificate of attendance at the end of the course for a fee of 3.00 euros.

House rules

The vhs has its own facilities as well as rented rooms. In the interest of all users for good learning together, please observe the following rules:

• Leave your room clean and tidy after class, especially if the seating is unchanged
• Please wipe down the whiteboards and put the materials back
• Please close the windows and switch off the lights

Smoking is prohibited in our buildings and in external rooms. Open fires using candles, tea lights and similar are also prohibited. You will find a smoking area with ashtrays in front of the building.

We cannot accept any liability for personal injury, damage to property or financial loss incurred by course participants on the way to and from the training centres or when using the premises, including the adjoining rooms and entrances, or the items provided!

We are also not liable for the loss of money, valuables and wardrobe.

Please show consideration for other courses in the classrooms and during breaks and regulate the volume of the music and other technical equipment.
